The Mirage Belly Dance Duo is Orange County's Premiere Bellydance Group! The Mirage is a dynamic duo of belly dancers based out of Orange County California.

The Mirage Belly Dance Duo consists of members and co-creators Meliza and Marizol. These twin-like belly dancing beauties are always polished in appearance and poised in performance.

Their beauty and grace and passion for the dance make them that much more exciting to watch. They are multicultural, with dance training in jazz, tap, ballet and hip-hop, as well as belly dance. They strive for perfection, yet remember it's all about having fun.

When it comes to the guests at your event, Marizol and Meliza know not only how to entertain, but also to include everyone in the fun. "When we see the smiles on peoples faces, and everyone having a great time, we know we've done our job."

Meliza and Marizol have performed at some of the most exquisite events throughout Southern California and have appeared on stage at some of the hottest night clubs, most elegant restaurants and luxurious parties.

Each member of this special group of talented and respected dancers is named after a precious Jewel. Their Jewel name represents their uniqueness, beauty and talent. The Jewels are all soloists who come together to produce beautiful events and dinner shows called, "The Jewels That Raq!" Sharing the stage with the Duo are Ruby, Onyx, Jade, Amber, Diamond, Pearl, Emerald and Sapphire. The Jewels' dance styles range from Egyptian, Turkish, Lebanese, and Persian to Tribal Fusion.

As the producers of fine shows, The Mirage Duo, along with the Jewels, can be seen in and around the nicest restaurants and clubs in the area. All shows are beautiful, elegant, energetic and exciting, with the use of multiple props, which may include fire, swords, snakes, wings, veils and zills. Some shows even include live musicians!

I went to your showcase on Sunday 10/5 & I LOVED it!!! The whole show was wonderful, you had *GREAT* dancers & the atmosphere with the lighting & special effects was exciting & glamorous :-) And of course I loved your dancing! You two are great performers. Background
Meliza and Marizol, founders of The Mirage, began their Belly Dance career after discovering the wealth of benefits connected to this feminine and deeply passionate art form. They both come from a strong background in many other dance styles, but found that belly dancing was a PERFECT fit for them after experiencing the many positive physical changes their bodies were undergoing. The outer changes, along with the internal changes, were amazing. "We quickly discovered the Secrets this ancient art form held."

Belly Dance Classes
We started teaching after a high demand of requests and a great public response. The Ladies at many of the functions where we have performed at began seeking to come to us for lessons to learn this beautiful dance. In our performances, they would notice the discipline and the physical fitness involved and how much fun it looked like we were having. They requested to gain the same. Let's face it, everyone needs a little spice in their life. This is a great way to get it! Our format is structured around each person's individual needs. Some ladies are trying to work their core, firm up, and lose weight. While others are looking simply to dance, have fun or become more coordinated. Everyone has different goals; we want to help each student achieve theirs.

Performances
The Mirage Belly Dance Duo is based out of Southern California, and regularly performs for private parties and Special events. The Mirage Duo is available to travel within the United States or abroad. The Duo will customize every show to fit the occasion perfectly! This includes custom music, appropriate costuming, and special styling.

"We do not have cookie cutter events, so we do not give our clients cookie cutter shows." Every show presented is made to be an eventful and unique experience.
